Creamy Tomato Chili Crisp Noodles with Golden Garlic Chips
My Creamy Tomato Chili Crisp Noodles with Golden Garlic Chips is a delectable fusion dish that beautifully combines the richness of blistered tomatoes with a spicy kick from chili crisp, all enhanced by the satisfying crunch of golden garlic chips. This dish is perfect for those who enjoy bold flavors and comforting textures in their meals.
The dish begins with blistered tomatoes, which are roasted until their skins char and burst, intensifying their sweetness and flavor. This preparation adds a dynamic element to the dish, as the blistered tomatoes provide bursts of juicy flavor throughout the noodles. Combined with heavy cream or a dairy alternative, the blistered tomatoes create a rich and luscious sauce that envelops the noodles beautifully.
Chili crisp is an essential component, adding heat and depth to the creamy base. This condiment, made from oil, chili flakes, and various spices, lends a spicy and crunchy element to the dish. The chili crisp contrasts wonderfully with the creamy noodles, enhancing the overall flavor profile and keeping each bite exciting.
Finally, golden garlic chips add a satisfying crunch and a deep, aromatic garlic flavor. Sprinkled on top of the dish, these crispy chips not only provide texture but also elevate the dish visually. Together, the creamy noodles, blistered tomatoes, spicy chili crisp, and crunchy garlic chips create a harmonious and delectable meal that is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a weeknight dinner or a special gathering.
Recommended Noodles
To create this dish, Fly By Jing’s chili crisp noodles provide a unique base, infusing the dish with a built-in spiciness and depth of flavor. The blistered tomatoes add a sweet, smoky element that beautifully complements the creamy sauce.
For those who prefer a more traditional approach, you can easily substitute regular noodles. I recommend the noodles pictured and linked here. Simply cook your favorite noodles and mix in chili crisp and soy sauce to achieve a similar flavor profile. This flexibility allows you to customize the dish based on your pantry staples while still enjoying the vibrant combination of creamy, spicy, and crunchy elements.
The addition of golden garlic chips gives the dish an extra layer of texture and a punch of garlic flavor, creating a satisfying contrast to the creaminess of the sauce. Whether you opt for Fly By Jing’s chili crisp noodles or regular noodles with chili crisp and soy sauce, this dish promises to deliver a delicious meal that’s perfect for any occasion.

- Total Time: 15 minutes
Description
Creamy Tomato Chili Crisp Noodles with Golden Garlic Chips feature tender noodles enveloped in a rich sauce made from blistered tomatoes, enhanced by spicy chili crisp and heavy cream, and topped with crunchy garlic chips for a delightful contrast of flavors and textures.
Ingredients
*If you prefer to use the Fly by Jing noodle packages like I did, then you can omit the soy sauce and chili crisp I list as ingredients below. Otherwise, be sure to include them!
- 2 servings noodles
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili crisp
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1.5 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- Salt, to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Parmesan cheese and basil, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the halved cherry tomatoes, cut side down. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they blister and caramelize. Season with salt to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same pan, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced garlic and fry until slightly golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook or burn the garlic. Once done, remove the chips with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain. Season lightly with salt.
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet used for the tomatoes, add the heavy cream, soy sauce, and chili crisp (or if using Fly by Jing noodles, omit the soy sauce and chili crisp and instead use the seasoning packets). Stir well and simmer for a few minutes until the mixture is heated through and combined.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the creamy sauce, tossing gently to coat the noodles evenly. Stir in the blistered tomatoes.
- Plate the noodles and top with the golden garlic chips. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil for an extra touch of flavor.
