Description

Scissor-cut noodles are hand-stretched and irregularly cut, boasting a delightful combination of chewy and tender textures that soak up sauces and broths for an irresistibly fresh, homemade flavor.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • Chili crisp (suited to your desired spice level)
  • Green onions for garnishing (optional)

Instructions

  1. To a bowl, add your flour, salt, and water. Knead for a minute then transfer to a clean, flat surface.
  2. Knead for another 5 minutes, or until dough ball is smooth.
  3. To a pot of boiling water, using scissors, cut your dough ball into thin strips about 1/2 in. long into the boiling water, allowing noodles to cook for 3-4 min., depending on thickness.
  4. Strain noodles and place back in pot. Mix with your sauce of choice (I mixed with chili crisp) and enjoy.
