My homemade dumpling sauce is a perfectly balanced blend of savory soy sauce, sweet sugar, spicy chili crisp, aromatic sesame oil, tangy rice vinegar, and fresh garlic, with optional sesame seeds and green onions for added texture and brightness.

  1. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, water, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Add the chili crisp or chili oil, minced garlic, toasted sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Mix well to combine.
  2. If desired, sprinkle in roasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added texture and freshness.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust as needed—add more chili oil for heat, vinegar for tang, or sugar for sweetness. Serve alongside my freshly cooked dumplings, and enjoy!
